We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take technical ownership of embedded firmware and system software that power autonomous and connected vehicle platforms. In this role, you will work across the full lifecycle, from early hardware bring-up and system architecture through field deployment and fleet updates, playing a key role in shaping the future of AGEO's autonomous systems.

What you'll do:

• Develop embedded firmware for custom ECUs and IoT devices used in vehicle platforms - from initial hardware bring-up through production deployment
• Write device drivers and integration layers for sensors and communication modules including GNSS receivers, LoRa/LoRaWAN modules, cellular modems, CAN/J1939 buses, etc.
• Build and maintain ROS2-based applications running on embedded Linux platforms, including containerized workloads and OTA update pipelines
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers during schematic review, PCB bring-up, and hardware-software co-debugging on custom designs
• Define and maintain firmware architecture, interface specifications, and test procedures to ensure reliability, robustness, and maintainability in harsh field environments
• Lead improvements to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes for embedded firmware

What we're looking for (Requirements):

• Strong C/C++ for embedded systems (bare metal, RTOS, and embedded Linux)
• Experience designing and maintaining production-grade embedded firmware with real hardware constraints
• Experience deploying containerized applications (Docker or equivalent)
• Experience working with embedded interfaces and buses: I2C, SPI, UART, CAN/CAN FD
• Experience with network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, MQTT
• Experience with LoRa/LoRaWAN or other wireless communication protocols
• Proficiency using hardware debug and validation tools (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeter, etc.)
• Ability to read schematics, interpret IC datasheets, and work effectively at the hardware-software boundary
• Solid Git workflow for collaborative development and code review
• Good communication skills
• 4+ years of embedded software development experience

Education and Experience:

• B.S. degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent

• Experience with ROS2, including node architecture, and sensor integration, and system bring-up

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Continuous effort to develop/improve the cleaning process for HAMR Glass to meet the organization's goals and objectives for current and future new products.
• Execute and qualify new cleaning materials such as filters, chemicals, and brushes for the cleaning machine to align with the company's goal of having 2nd source for all materials.
• Work closely with the GO R&D team on the new cleaning process and ensure seamless product transfer to PN media.
• Execute cleaning machine pph and utilization improvement activities to meet sputter pph and product demand.
• Develop a new cleaning process in PN for new products that are introduced for mass manufacturing, because this machine is not available in GO.
• Focus on the latest Ultrasonic and Megasonic cleaning technology to tap the opportunities to introduce new sonication technology into current cleaning tools to improve cleaning efficiency.
• Align cleaning improvement activities with Manufacturing Engineering team objectives of sustaining and improving media yield and quality.
• Execute cleaning cost-saving activities to meet the company's CPD target.
• Sustain the cleaning process by sustaining in process indicators such as chemical concentration and media cleanliness particle counts.
• White paper, technical report, and documentation (SMO, TECN & PECN) write-up to ensure a smooth implementation of the new cleaning process following the ISO14000, ISO9000, OHSAS 18001 procedure.
• Leading Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) for the cleaning process and executing improvement actions to improve the robustness of the cleaning process for manufacturing.
• Work with the substrate team ( SWK ) (Front End NPP substrate team) to qualify new HAMR Glass substrate or improve substrate quality at the media level.
• Continue to build up technicians technical capability pertaining to cleaning process.
• Set up auto shutdown fixture to prevent the cleaning machine from producing bad quality parts.

• Preparing and updating Weekly Asia Cleaning Team Activities progress report.

The packaging scope includes various items such as labels, bags, foil bags, printer ribbons, cartons, and media storage, with a focus on maintaining quality, qualifying new materials, and collaborating with suppliers and teams globally. Responsibilities involve defining monitoring methods, managing packaging specifications, reacting to customer feedback, and ensuring smooth communication with quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams for ongoing engineering developments and annual requests for quotes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Packaging scope covers cassette, cleanroom & non-cleanroom label, LPPE & HDPE bag, Foil bag, printer ribbon, carton box, pallet cover & sleeve, media storage requirement, and customer complaint-related issues.
• Maintain packaging quality and define the monitoring method.
• Qualify new packing material and implementation.
• Responsible for working with new/old suppliers, SQE, material lab, Planer, GCM, and Operation SPI on any engineering development of packaging material.
• Collaboration work with the WW packaging team (PN/SZ/GO).
• Maintain all packaging SOW for GCM and SQE to work with the vendor for getting yearly RFQ, sharing material, & Lab test spec.
