The Agency Group (TAG) is a joint venture agency of several agency units under the Prudential Assurance Malaysia Bhd and Prudential BSN Bhd which was established on September 15, 2012. Both companies are very strong in the insurance and takaful industry in Malaysia. Prudential itself is Malaysia's leading insurance provider in Malaysia for over 96 years. 
The history of TAG began when several agency units from the Subang Jaya branch and the Malacca Branch met and discussed and agree to establish a collaborative network that could create a unified synergy to form a solid foundation for managing agencies in the Insurance and Takaful industry. After a series of discussions, they have agreed and drafted the concept of a "Business Model" to be implemented. As a result, all units agreed to use The Agency Group as a new name.
