Great Place to Learn and Grow with Strong Leadership
Pros: I really appreciate the focus on learning and development. As a Marketing Analyst, I've had tons of opportunities to work on major brands and learn from experienced professionals. The leadership team is genuinely supportive, always encouraging us to take initiative and grow our careers. My colleagues are also fantastic, making it a very collaborative and welcoming environment. The hybrid work schedule in our New York City office is also super helpful for balancing personal and professional life.
Cons: While there are growth opportunities, the career progression can sometimes feel a bit slow compared to other industries. It's not a place for rapid promotions, but more for steady, long-term development. Also, communication from upper management about broader company strategy could sometimes be a little clearer or more frequent, especially for a global consumer goods company like this.
Advice to Management: Keep fostering the leadership development programs and ensure clearer communication channels for strategic updates across all levels, especially in a hybrid work setting. This would help employees feel even more connected to the broader goals of the consumer goods business.

Solid CPG Company, Culture is a Bit Slow
Pros: I've enjoyed the stability working for a big corporate like Colgate-Palmolive. The benefits package is really good, and you get decent pay for Brand Manager roles. Colleagues in the New York City office are generally supportive.
Cons: The company culture can feel pretty old-school sometimes. It's tough to get new ideas approved, especially in personal care product development for the CPG industry. Decisions often take way too long, which can be frustrating.
Advice to Management: Try to foster more innovation and empower teams to make quicker decisions. Modernizing the approach to personal care product development would help a lot.

Decent work-life balance in a big corporate setting
Pros: You can really make the hybrid work schedule work for you. Three days in the New York City office, two WFH, helps a lot. It's not a crazy startup pace, which is nice for a corporate environment.
Cons: Sometimes project deadlines in consumer packaged goods can mean longer hours. You'll have some late nights preparing for big presentations. It's not always a strict 40-hour week.
