Pros: The company culture here in the San Francisco office is pretty open. People are usually willing to help each other out, which is great for new Software Engineers. The benefits package is also really solid for a large corporate company, including good healthcare.
Cons: Sometimes it feels like decisions take forever. There's a bit of bureaucracy, which can be tough in a fast-paced tech industry. Also, career growth isn't always clear-cut without really advocating for yourself.
Advice to Management: Try to cut down on some of the red tape and make career paths clearer for individual contributors. Empower teams more to make quicker decisions.

Pros: Working remote as a Software Engineer here is pretty good. I've got a lot of flexibility with my hours, which is a huge plus. It's great to manage my own schedule, especially in this big tech company environment and for development work.
Cons: The hybrid model expectations can get a bit confusing sometimes for specific teams. There's not always clear guidance on remote vs. office days, especially for those supporting CAD software projects. It can feel a bit inconsistent across departments.
Advice to Management: Clarify the hybrid model expectations across all teams. Ensure consistent communication for remote employees and those on different product teams.

Pros: I really appreciated the remote work options. As a Software Engineer, managing my schedule around family life was easy. They offer great tools for collaboration on our CAD software projects. It's truly a big tech company with a focus on work-life balance for many roles.
Cons: While remote is fine, some teams really struggle with fully async communication. It can feel like you're missing out on key decisions sometimes. Not every manager fully embraces the flexible hours, making it tough to truly disconnect.
Advice to Management: Push for more consistent training on effective asynchronous communication across all teams. Ensure all managers truly champion flexible work policies, not just pay lip service. Help integrate remote employees better into the overall company culture.
