Good stability and learning in the Telecom industry
Pros: I've really appreciated the supportive team environment here. My colleagues are always willing to help out, which makes working on complex projects much smoother. As a Software Engineer, I've had good opportunities to dive into different technologies, especially within enterprise solutions. It's a very stable company in the telecommunications sector, which provides great job security, and the benefits package is pretty comprehensive too. We also have a decent hybrid work arrangement.
Cons: Career progression can feel a bit slow sometimes; you really have to actively seek out and push for promotion opportunities, which isn't always straightforward. Also, being such a large corporation, some internal processes can be quite bureaucratic, making approvals and changes take longer than ideal. We often work with various legacy systems too, which, while providing a good learning curve, can sometimes be challenging to integrate or modernize efficiently.

Pretty Solid for Job Security Here
Pros: As an Account Manager here, I felt my role was pretty stable. Singtel is a major player in the Singapore telecommunications industry, so there's always demand. You don't worry about mass layoffs or sudden closures like at a startup.
Cons: While job security is high, career progression for Account Manager roles can be slow. It's a large company, so internal movements take time. Don't expect rapid promotions or a dynamic environment like big tech.
Advice to Management: Try to create clearer paths for career growth, especially for long-term employees. It helps with morale when people see a future beyond just job security.

Hybrid Work Has Its Ups and Downs
Pros: The hybrid work model is a decent perk. For an Associate Product Manager, it's good to have some flexibility with WFH. It's a solid arrangement for the telecommunications industry.
Cons: However, the actual work flexibility varies a lot by team. Some teams are more strict with onsite days. It feels like real flexible working hours aren't really a thing.
Advice to Management: Standardize the hybrid policy across all departments so everyone gets a fair and consistent experience with work flexibility.
