Pros: As a Financial Analyst at RHB, the pay and benefits are competitive for the banking industry in Kuala Lumpur. I value the strong job security and the chance for continuous learning opportunities. Colleagues are supportive, and the overall company culture promotes teamwork. It's a stable financial institution.
Cons: Promotion paths sometimes feel slower than ideal for career growth. Some internal approval processes can be a bit lengthy. Occasionally, reliance on older systems impacts efficiency.
Advice to Management: Focus on streamlining the internal approval processes and exploring clearer, potentially faster, pathways for career progression and promotions, especially for high-performing employees. Investing in modernizing legacy systems could also boost overall efficiency.

Pros: They've finally got a hybrid model, which helps for those of us in financial services roles. You can work from home a few days a week, making the commute to the Kuala Lumpur office a bit easier. It's better than many other big corporate banks that are still fully onsite.
Cons: The WFH days aren't really flexible; it's set days, you can't really swap them around. As a Loan Officer, client meetings often mean I'm in the office anyway. So, the 'flexibility' isn't always practical for my role.
Advice to Management: Allow more autonomy in choosing WFH days. Especially for roles like Loan Officer where schedules vary due to client demands. Make the hybrid model truly flexible.

Pros: You meet some really good people, especially in the Kuala Lumpur office. There's a decent sense of teamwork among the junior staff. Plus, the benefits for a corporate bank are solid.
Cons: The company culture can feel quite old-school, very hierarchical. It's tough as a Relationship Manager; you often work really long hours in retail banking, which impacts your work-life balance. Not much flexibility for onsite work either.
Advice to Management: Try to modernize the company culture a bit. More flexibility would definitely help with employee retention, especially for younger staff in financial services.
