Great Place for Growth in Beauty Tech
Pros: Working as a Software Engineer at Fresha offers a truly supportive team culture. Everyone's helpful, fostering great learning opportunities, especially in beauty & wellness FinTech with our SaaS platform. The hybrid London setup provides good flexibility and work-life balance.
Cons: The product rollout pace can be intense, causing occasional long days. Career growth and promotions are sometimes slow. Better, consistent communication across global teams would really help streamline projects.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearly defining career progression paths and promotion criteria. Also, continue to improve cross-functional and cross-geographical communication to ensure everyone's on the same page during busy periods.

Okay flexibility for a growing tech company
Pros: The work flexibility is pretty solid here for Product Manager roles, especially considering it's a fast-paced startup. I could often set my own hours to manage my day. There's a good understanding of needing to WFH some days which really helps with personal appointments.
Cons: Sometimes, the remote work means late calls with international teams, which impacts your evening. It isn't always easy to switch off. Despite the flexibility, there's an expectation of high output which can make you feel always on.
Advice to Management: Try to set clear boundaries for international calls to protect employee evenings. Promoting more defined 'unplugged' times would really help work-life balance for those in remote roles.

Work-life balance needs a lot of work
Pros: I genuinely like the mission here; helping small businesses in the beauty and wellness industry grow is pretty rewarding. The remote work setup is a solid perk for flexibility, which helps. You get to collaborate with some really smart folks, especially on the product side.
Cons: Work-life balance is really tough, especially for Customer Success Manager roles. There's a constant pressure to work evenings and weekends to meet targets. The expectation for always being available can get pretty draining and contributes to burnout at this fast-growing startup.
Advice to Management: Management needs to establish clearer boundaries around working hours. Implement specific policies that support genuine work-life balance, especially for customer-facing teams. Seriously consider expanding the team to better distribute the heavy workload.
