Pros: You learn a lot, especially as a new Software Engineer. The tech stack in the fintech industry is pretty modern here, which is great for skill development. The hybrid work model is nice; I get to be in the Bengaluru office a couple days a week and WFH too.
Cons: Work-life balance isn't great. Expect long hours, often 10-12 hour days, especially before project deadlines. It's tough to really switch off, even on weekends you might get pings from the team. The pressure to constantly deliver can be exhausting for many.
Advice to Management: Managers need to really prioritize employee well-being and set clear boundaries for work hours. The long hours lead to burnout in development teams. Maybe add more resources to reduce the workload for individual contributors.
