Solid Flexibility, but Growth Needs Work
Pros: They're really good with remote work options for software development roles. It's a huge plus, especially not being in the Austin, TX office everyday. I could often adjust my hours, which helped my work-life balance a lot.
Cons: Career growth felt slow for engineers. Sometimes it felt like you were on your own without much guidance. Leadership communication could be better for fully remote staff.
Advice to Management: Improve career pathing for software engineers, especially remote ones. Also, work on clearer communication from leadership for distributed teams.

Decent Learning, but Promotions Are Tough
Pros: I've learned a lot technically working as a Software Engineer here. There are plenty of interesting projects, especially in the early stages, for anyone wanting to build new skills in the tech industry. The hybrid model in Austin, TX is also nice.
Cons: Promotion paths aren't super clear once you hit mid-level. It's hard to move up to senior roles without a lot of pushing. Sometimes it feels like you hit a wall for real career growth, especially after two years.
Advice to Management: Management should create clearer promotion frameworks and offer more internal mentorship for Software Engineers looking to advance. Help us see a path forward.

Management here is a mixed bag
Pros: I got to work on some genuinely interesting technical challenges as a Software Engineer. My direct manager was usually pretty supportive. The remote-first policy for tech industry roles is a huge plus, offering great work flexibility.
Cons: The higher-up leadership often seemed out of touch with what we were actually doing. Project priorities would shift constantly, making it tough for engineering teams. It felt like decisions came down without much context or explanation.
Advice to Management: Upper management needs to improve communication and provide clearer direction. Involve team leads in the decision-making process more. It would really help us Software Engineers understand the 'why' behind strategy changes.
