Okay flexibility, depends on your team
Pros: The hybrid model for us Content Specialists in the Boston, MA office was pretty decent. We could usually work from home a couple of days a week, which helped a lot with errands and appointments. It's good for anyone needing some WFH options.
Cons: Sometimes, especially if you're working on tight curriculum development deadlines, that flexibility goes out the window. There's pressure to be onsite more, and not all teams get the same level of remote work. It's not a true 'choose your own adventure' setup.
Advice to Management: Try to standardize the work from home policy across all teams. It feels a bit uneven right now, and clearer guidelines would really help employees plan better.

Decent Place for Remote Education Work
Pros: I've been working here as an Educational Consultant for a couple of years. The company culture here is pretty supportive, especially for those remote from Ohio. There's good flexibility, and they really get the K-12 education sector and teacher recruitment challenges.
Cons: Sometimes the virtual team meetings feel a bit clunky and aren't always productive. Growth opportunities for these remote roles don't always feel clear. It's a smaller team, so you often wear many hats which can be tough.
Advice to Management: Focus on clearer career paths for remote employees. Streamline some of the communication tools for better team cohesion during virtual meetings.

Pretty stable for EdTech sales roles
Pros: As an Account Manager, I felt pretty secure here. The company has consistent annual contracts with schools, which really helps job security in the K-12 EdTech industry. For a mid-sized company, they do a good job keeping things steady.
Cons: While it's stable, don't expect super fast career growth. You might stay in the same role for a while without big promotions. The remote work can sometimes feel a bit isolating, even if it's flexible.
Advice to Management: Focus on creating clearer paths for career progression for remote employees and invest more in virtual team building initiatives.
