Responsibilities:
- Assist the Assistant Manager, IT in supervising a team of IT contractors for shift duty options
- Maintain robust shift operations by leading and controlling the assigned IT resources
- Provide 7 x 24 operation and maintenance services on all IT systems, inclusive of servers and network, in support of the normal Airport operations and ensure prompt recovery of services in case of equipment breakdowns
- Manage and maintain the optimum operating environment of communication room facilities, including air-conditioning and electrical power etc., in support of the normal operation of IT equipment
- Execute a wide range of technical and system administrative tasks to support mission-critical Airport and Corporate Systems and network facilities
- Perform regular system health checks on servers and network equipment to upkeep the system’s reliability and security, and notify the Assistant Manager in case of any potential technical issues
- Manage maintenance contractors for the delivery of quality services and keep up with the standard of work practices to ensure the safety of both staff and the Authority's properties
Requirements:
- Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines with minimum of 3 years’ experience in systems operations or control center supervision
- Candidates without the above specific academic qualification but have at least 8 years’ relevant working experience will also be considered
- Holder of ITIL and/or PMP certification is preferred
- Sound knowledge of Cisco, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, Oracle, Linux, SCO Unix, UP-UX, VMWare and Microsoft Windows. Holder of relevant IT professional certificate(s) is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience in supervising multi-discipline technicians/professionals
- Able to work under pressure and manage multi-task with ease
- Possess a valid HK driving license (Class 1) is preferred
- Good spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
- Willing to work shift duties
