Responsibilities
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to prospective clients
- Clearly articulate the value proposition, features, and technical architecture
- Customize presentations and demonstrations to align with client-specific requirements and pain points.
- Serve as a primary technical point of contact during the sales cycle, addressing client queries related to platform functionality, integration capabilities, security, performance, and compliance
- Collaborate with clients to understand their existing systems, workflows, and technical challenges, and propose tailored solutions
- Conduct technical deep-dives and proof-of-concept (POC) sessions as required
- Work closely with the sales team to qualify leads and gather detailed business and technical requirements from prospects
- Translate client requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for product and engineering teams
- Assist in the preparation of RFI/RFP responses, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client needs
- Stay abreast of industry trends in FinTech, internet brokerage, wealth management, multi-asset trading, and emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, AI)
- Monitor competitor offerings and market dynamics to inform our product positioning and sales strategies.
- Provide market feedback to product management and development teams to drive continuous product improvement
- Liaise effectively with internal teams including Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Compliance to ensure seamless pre-sales to post-sales handover
- Contribute to the development of sales enablement tools, collateral and training materials
- Assist in other ad-hoc duties as assigned
Job requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Business, Information Technology or related fields
- Minimum 3 years' of experience in a pre-sales, solutions engineering or technical consultant role within the financial technology services, specifically in brokerage, trading platforms or wealth management is preferred
- Prior experience with system vendors is an advantage
- Experience with CRM software and project management tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of multi-asset classes (e.g. equities, bonds, funds, derivatives, and ideally, virtual assets/cryptocurrencies)
- Solid knowledge of brokerage operations, trading workflows and market data; In-depth knowledge of the Hong Kong, US and Chinese securities markets
- Familiarity with the Hong Kong financial market regulatory environment (e.g., SFC regulations, KYC/AML requirements)
- Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and compelling business language for various audiences
- Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a consultative approach, capable of addressing clients needs
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent command in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Mandarin)
