The project intern will be based in Hong Kong supporting the business development of CICC firm-wide business across region, including countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, aiming to explore new growth opportunities. The project intern will have opportunities to involve in strategic initiatives, across various departments and regional offices, and to support building CICC presence and franchise in untapped markets and support strategic projects execution in the region.


The duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:


Responsibilities

  • Assist international strategy-related in-depth research on countries, securities/finance industry, competitors, and business plan, etc. with main tasks supporting data mining, analysis, report drafting, presentations etc.
  • Support international operations management, including assisting in overseas network expansion, coordination with business units and regional teams, and tracking the execution of internationalization strategies.
  • Contribute to international brand-building initiatives, such as supporting the organization of international forums and related events.
  • Support periodic reporting on internationalization progress and key initiatives.
  • Keep abreast of the geopolitical, economic, financial, and industrial dynamics and regulatory changes in various regions.


Qualifications and Requirements

  • Undergraduate (junior year and above) or Postgraduate students with Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science or other related majors preferred; overseas experience would be a plus.
  • Previous internship or work experience in investment banking/research/consulting with reputable institutions is preferable.
  • Full-time internship support or part-time internship support with at least 3 days per week preferred.
  • Proactive and responsible with abilities of fast learning and working efficiently.
  • Good command of PC skills, esp. Excel, Word and PowerPoint; familiar with Wind, Bloomberg, Capital IQ and Dealogic, etc.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English, fluent in other languages would be a plus.
