Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in drafting and proofreading legal correspondence, notices, contractual letters, internal legal memoranda, and reports to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Liaise with project managers, commercial teams, QS, and site staff to gather factual information, supporting documents, and records relevant to legal and contractual issues
  • Support the legal team on claims, variations, EOT, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation matters by preparing chronologies, document bundles, and summaries
  • Assist Legal Counsel and Contract Manager in reviewing, organizing, and administering construction contracts, subcontracts, consultancy agreements, and related correspondence
  • Act as a point of contact with external solicitors, barristers, experts, and claims consultants; assist with instructions, fee tracking, and document exchanges
  • Manage dispute-related project documents, including document indexing, version control, disclosure, and preparation of hearing or adjudication bundles
  • Conduct legal research on construction-related laws, regulations, and case precedents in Hong Kong
  • Prepare agendas, minutes, attendance notes, and action lists for legal meetings, negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution proceedings
  • Maintain legal databases, precedent libraries, contract templates, and filing systems; assist with internal legal training materials and know‑how sharing
  • Support compliance with contractual obligations, statutory requirements, and internal governance policies; help track legal risks

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a common law jurisdiction.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a construction company, law firm, or related field is preferred, but fresh graduates (LL.B) will also be considered.
  • Firm knowledge on general legal practice, legal drafting, regulatory compliance with solid research skills
  • Fluent in Cantonese, Putonghua and English (spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure
