About The Role
As a CBRE Maintenance Assistant, you will be responsible for performing a variety if basic building maintenance, and other facility support duties. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, minor repairs and upkeep on equipment, facilities, and building systems.
What You’ll Do
- Develop skills to perform basic preventive and reactive maintenance.
- Carry out minor handyman repair works including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and fixture replacement.
- Perform routine inspection of building facilities, equipment, and common areas to identify maintenance needs.
- Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
- Report defects beyond scope or competency, escalate to supervisors or vendors, and maintain records of completed work.
- Assist with monitoring supplies, equipment usage, and record inventory needs.
- Impact through methods, tasks, and duties which are clearly defined and followed with little to no discretion.
What You’ll Need
- High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school. Valid Driver’s License required.
- Basic maintenance experience preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
