This is a junior position to support the Real Estate Development team, which mainly serves key developers in Hong Kong.
Key responsibilities
- Handle legal documents and transactions in relation to Real Estate Conveyancing matters
- Assist with project conveyancing matters, leasing, sale and purchase of second-hand properties (mainly residential properties), property related mortgage transactions, and documents in relation to and compliance of the Residential Properties (First-hand Sales) Ordinance
- Assist with commercial real estate transactions (e.g. share sale and purchase of property holding companies, M&A, joint venture transactions)
- Able to handle project related administrative procedures (e.g. opening of stakeholders account, arrangement with mortgagee bank on partial release, etc.)
The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and additional reasonable duties consistent with the role may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Experience
- 1 – 5 PQE in general conveyancing; experience in project conveyancing, sale of first-hand residential properties, real estate related litigation preferred
- Experience in commercial real estate, sale and purchase of properties, investigation of property title and familiar with documents in relation to and compliance of the Residential Properties (First-hand Sales) Ordinance will be considered favourably
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese; Mandarin capability preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, commercial acumen and client management skills
- Multi-tasking, self-motivated, attentive to details and able to work under pressure
- Team player and enthusiastic
