Role Objective
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Draftsman to join our project design team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full lifecycle of Hong Kong building submissions, from initial site analysis and development potential calculations to the production of high-quality technical construction drawings for commercial projects.
Job Duties
- Understanding on Planning, Lands, HKPSG matters: Demonstrate the ability to navigate and interpret the building control system and statutory requirements in HK.
- Conduct research for buildings, developments, redevelopments: Conduct comprehensive site analyses for multiple commercial developments, maximizing potential via accurate calculations on development GFA parameters.
- Initiate site planning for development, re-development, major A&A studies: Initiate and develop site planning and design proposals, collaborate with internal departments and the project team to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
- Independently prepare for GBP submissions: Lead the preparation of building plans, ensuring all documentation strictly adheres to the Hong Kong Building Ordinance and the latest government statutory requirements.
- Technical & Tender Documentation: Translate conceptual design schemes into precise technical details and construction drawings, clearly communicating material specifications and assembly methods for tendering purposes.
- An advantage if knowing F&B license applications: Familiarity with Food licensing requirements, including basic knowledge of the drawing production and procedural requirements for submission.
Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience with ACAD for architectural submission drawings and details, in-depth knowledge of Hong Kong’s statutory building control system and regulations, including Planning, Land, Fire Safety, and Building Codes.
- Certificate from HKCEE/HKDSE or IVE or Diploma in Interior Design, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
- An advantage if knowing BIM software and applications, particularly Autodesk Revit or Navisworks.
- Strong analytical mindset for site planning and ability to work independently.
