Job Description

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a high‑calibre Business Leadership - eCommerce Operations to lead and scale our Hong Kong and Taiwan businesses. This is a senior leadership role with full P&L ownership, responsible for driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and strategic expansion across multiple eCommerce platforms and channels.

The ideal candidate is a strong business leader with hands‑on knowledge of eCommerce operations, particularly WeChat Mini‑Program ecosystems, omni‑channel management, branding, and supply chain operations. You will lead a team of 60+ professionals and work closely with senior stakeholders, brands, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Financial Leadership

  • Own and manage HK & Taiwan P&L, driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and cost efficiency
  • Develop and execute business strategies aligned with company and client objectives
  • Set annual budgets, forecasts, and KPIs; closely monitor financial performance and take corrective actions

eCommerce & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end‑to‑end eCommerce operations, including:
    • WeChat Mini‑Program operations/ Own website operations
    • Platform and store management
    • Order fulfilment, logistics, and after‑sales services
  • Drive omni‑channel strategies integrating online marketplaces, social commerce, and offline touchpoints
  • Ensure scalable, efficient, and compliant operational processes across markets
Brand & Client Management

  • Act as a strategic partner to brand principals, providing insights on digital growth, consumer trends, and performance optimisation
  • Ensure excellence in brand positioning, online merchandising, and campaign execution
  • Build long‑term client relationships and identify new business opportunities within existing accounts

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a cross‑functional team of 60+, covering operations, digital marketing, supply chain, and account management
  • Build a performance‑driven, collaborative, and accountable culture
  • Coach future leaders and ensure strong succession planning

Analytics & Stakeholder Communication

  • Leverage data and analytics to evaluate business performance and guide decision‑making
  • Prepare and deliver clear, structured, and compelling presentations for senior management and clients
  • Communicate effectively with regional and global stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

A Successful General Manager Should Have

  • 10+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital commerce, or retail operations, with significant leadership responsibility
  • Proven track record of full P&L ownership and managing sizeable businesses
  • Hands‑on experience with:
  • WeChat Mini‑Program operations/ Own website operations
  • eCommerce business management from branding to execution
  • Omni‑channel commerce strategies
  • Supply chain and fulfilment management
  • Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial and commercial mindset
  • Highly analytical, data‑driven, and comfortable managing complexity
  • Presentable, confident, and articulate, with strong storytelling and influencing skills
  • Able to operate at both strategic and hands‑on levels in a fast‑paced environment
  • Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Cantonese (spoken and written)
  • Immediate Available preferred
