Job Description
- Lead and develop the APAC Field Application Engineering (FAE) and Technical Service team, ensuring high performance, customer responsiveness, and technical depth.
- Work closely with Sales & Marketing teams to drive design-win success, customer engagement strategies, and technical influence across key accounts.
- Collaborate with global engineering, R&D, and US headquarters to align APAC needs with product roadmaps and innovation priorities.
- Provide advanced technical guidance on passive component solutions, application challenges, failure analysis, and optimisation pathways.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex customer technical issues, demonstrating strong analytical and structured problem‑solving capability.
- Strengthen regional engineering processes, training systems, and technical support frameworks.
- Support pre‑production evaluations, application testing, and engineering‑to-production transitions as needed.
The Successful Applicant
- 15+ years of experience in electronic components / passive components, with strong application engineering or technical service leadership.
- Prior production or manufacturing engineering experience is highly preferred (understands factory processes, quality systems, DFM/DFT, reliability, troubleshooting).
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑country engineering or FAE teams within APAC.
- Strong structured problem‑solving methodology - able to clearly articulate thought processes, root‑cause analysis, and decision rationale.
- Experience working in large multinational or Fortune 500 environments is a plus, but must show real technical depth, not just tenure.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working with senior leadership and global engineering stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and Chinese
