Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated
AIoT Engineering Intern to support our engineering team in building and enhancing AI-driven IoT systems. This internship focuses primarily on assisting with hardware development and field deployment, offering an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience with device creation and real-world installations. The role is ideal for those passionate about hardware innovation and eager to explore practical applications in diverse field environments.
Key Responsibilities
Hardware Development Support:
- Assist in designing and developing IoT devices using ESP32, Nvidia Jetson platforms and Raspberry Pi platforms
- Support PCB design and fabrication processes
- Learn to create 3D printed prototypes and assist in designing custom enclosures and mounting solutions
- Help integrate various sensors into complete systems
- Learn IoT communication protocols: LoRa/LoRaWAN, Cat-1
- Support device integration through MQTT and API interfaces with mentorship
- Assist in hardware testing and validation procedures
Field Deployment & Support
- Assist in small batch manufacturing and quality control processes
- Support on-site installations in diverse indoor and outdoor environments
- Learn to configure and deploy edge computing infrastructure at customer sites
- Help set up and troubleshoot networking infrastructure for IoT deployments
- Support technical training and customer IT teams under senior guidance
- Learn system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting procedures
Requirements
Education:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s program in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Strong academic background with relevant coursework in embedded systems, electronics, and communication protocols
Technical Skills
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in embedded programming languages: C/C++, Python for micro-controllers
- Foundational knowledge of PCB design concepts and eagerness to learn schematic and layout design
- Exposure to IoT protocols such as LoRa/LoRaWAN, Cat-1, MQTT, or willingness to learn
- Basic hardware skills: interest in sensor integration, system testing, and troubleshooting
- CAD software familiarity: basic 3D design capabilities or willingness to learn
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork mindset
- Willingness to travel for on-site installations
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Personal projects or coursework involving IoT, embedded systems, or electronics
- Experience with electronics projects, maker spaces, or hands-on technical work
- Understanding of basic sensor technologies and communication protocols
- Previous internship experience in tech or engineering companies
- Interest in manufacturing processes and quality systems
