Overall Role
To achieve excellence in preventative and reactive maintenance programs incorporating industry best practice, innovative maintenance techniques and statutory and contractual compliance. Oversee the day-to-day management and control of all plant, mechanical and electrical systems and co-ordinate the remedial action in the event of critical incidents. To provide supervision and direction to multi skilled Engineering Operations and teams made up of directly employed staff and appointed vendors. Ensure that all staff and vendors employed within the client’s facilities strictly adhere to client and JLL’s policies and procedures. Reports to the DC Site Lead.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure site operations, including incident escalation in accordance with approved Client/JLL procedures
- Supervise planned and reactive activities utilizing the CMMS platform
- To check on site repair and maintenance carried out by subcontractors to ensure work completion
- Ensure the implementation of safe systems on site activities
- Montor and operate data centre infrastructure systems, including HVSB, transformer, LVSB, Generators, Fuel System, UPS system, Busway, Power Distributions Units, ATS, HVAC, Chilled water system, Fan Wall units, Plumbing and drainage, Fire detection and suppression system, Building management system BMS/CMS
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems
- Respond promptly to alarms, systems alerts and emergency situations
- Carry out computational tasks such as load calculations, capacity planning support, thermal assessments and performance data analysis
- Maintain accurate logs, documentation and compliance records for all operational activities
- Actively promote teamwork and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors and across the business to ensure smooth operations, support service delivery and incident resolution
- Co-ordinate meetings periodically with contractors to ensure that required standards are established and maintained, and develop corrective action plans when, or if performance falls below
- Attend trainings on equipment operational procedures, including emergency procedures and requirements
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standards
- Ensure all safety procedures, including Crisis Management/ Business Continuity and Emergency Procedures are maintained at all times
- Ensures all work is performed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, data center protocols, and permit-to-work procedures
- Ensure that maintenance documentation meets the required standards and sufficient information is provided to operate an effective asset management regiment
- Participate in site reviews, including maintenance standards, equipment replacement, security, change control, single points of failure, Tier adherence and operational risk
- Perform additional tasks as required by the Site Lead.

Required
Desired experience and technical skills
- Diploma or higher qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
- Holder of REW A License
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in data centres, critical facilities, or industrial plant operations
- Demonstrated ability to perform computational work, including interpreting technical schematics, conducting basic engineering calculations, and analysing operational metrics
- Strong technical knowledge and practical, hands-on experience with critical infrastructure systems such as HV/LV electrical distribution, UPS, diesel generators, switchgear, chillers, and precision cooling units
- Experience in managing escalations and emergency situations with composure and effectiveness
- Ability to follow SOPs/EOPs and adhere to permit-to-work procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high-pressure, 24/7 environment
- Strong communication skills in English and Cantonese; Mandarin is a plus
- Basic documentation and reporting skills
- The role requires a commitment of 48 hours per week. The standard schedule is Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, including a one-hour lunch break each day. Depending on operational needs and mutual agreement, there may be flexibility to adjust the schedule. Any alternative arrangement will be discussed during the onboarding process and subject to business requirements.
