Assistant Manager (25260742)
The Academic Registry is now looking for a dynamic and experienced person to perform administrative duties in the Academic Affairs Section and Undergraduate Studies Section.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a full spectrum of programme administration which involves class/examination scheduling, course registration, graduation checking and overseeing student matters, etc.;
- Compile statistics and reports;
- Provide secretarial support to committees;
- Provide support on arrangement of ceremonies and events;
- Provide support for the University publications such as University Student Handbook and University Calendar;
- Manage the Student Information System; and
- Assist the Section Head in supervising a team of Executive Officers and Administrative Assistants.
Requirements:
- A recognised degree plus at least five years of relevant work experience in the tertiary education sector and the above work areas;
- Meticulousness, good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills and a strong sense of responsibility;
- Self-motivation with the ability to work independently as well as with a team;
- Proficiency in computing applications (including Excel or Access) and data extraction, processing and analysis; and
- An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.
The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
