What We Need
- Join a 30-minute video call to understand CantoGather’s brand guidelines, existing flashcard materials, and box specifications
- Design the structural dieline and exterior artwork for a paper box to house the full flashcard collection
- Create print-ready files with correct bleed, margins, and CMYK colour settings for submission to the printing company
- Organise and export finalised design files in the formats required by the printer
Background
At CantoGather, we bridge cultural gaps by teaching ethnically diverse students Chinese through engaging games and materials. We are in the process of mass-producing our Cantonese learning flashcard set for the first time - a major milestone in scaling our impact! To complete the set, we need a well-crafted box to house the cards: something that is sturdy, visually appealing, and true to our brand. We are looking for a detail-oriented designer who can bring the packaging to life, ensuring it is both print-ready and a beautiful representation of what we stand for.
What We Have
- Access to a Canva Pro account. 2) Our full brand guide. 3) Finalised flashcard box dimensions and printing specifications from our printing partner. 4) Reference images and examples of the box style we envision.
Why this is important
We provide language and multicultural education to draw our Chinese and non-Chinese neighbours together, making “CommUnity” a reality. The packaging box you design will be the very first thing our students and teachers see - it sets the tone for the entire learning experience. By giving our flashcard set a professional, polished home, you help us scale our operations, reach more students, and present our work with the care and pride it deserves.

What We Do
CantoGather is a faith-affiliated, Christian-rooted organisation dedicated to loving our neighbours as ourselves. We empower Hong Kong’s multicultural community by bringing people together through language and intercultural education. In partnership with schools, we offer non-Chinese children professional, engaging Cantonese and Chinese language programmes to help them thrive in school and daily life. Beyond language learning, we foster genuine connections between Chinese volunteers and non-Chinese families, building bridges of understanding and friendship. Through creative workshops, storytelling, arts, and interactive activities, we provide welcoming spaces where children and families from all backgrounds can share, learn, and grow together. Our volunteers serve as tutors, mentors, and companions, supporting students individually or in small groups while nurturing confidence, cultural awareness, and a sense of belonging. With over 300,000 non-Chinese neighbours in Hong Kong—many of them young people—the need for support, inclusion, and opportunity is clear. By volunteering with us, you help break down barriers, encourage meaningful relationships, and make a lasting positive impact on our city’s future.
