Solid experience, but tough work-life balance
I spent a couple years as a Property Analyst at Agathon Property Investment. It's a good place to learn the real estate development ropes, but it's not always easy to balance work and life.
You get solid exposure to property investment and portfolio management. The hybrid work model is a plus, and colleagues in the Dallas, TX office are generally supportive.
The work-life balance can really suffer, especially during closing periods for real estate deals. For Property Analyst roles, 50-60 hour weeks aren't uncommon, which gets draining.
Managers need to better protect their teams from burnout. Distribute workload more evenly for junior Property Analysts and consider adding more staff during busy periods.
