Decent stability in the resort industry for front-line staff
Pros: For Guest Services Agent roles, job security is generally okay here. The resort always needs people, especially during peak season in Orlando, FL. You won't feel like your job is on the line constantly.
Cons: But even in the resort industry, hours can fluctuate a lot based on bookings. It's tough to get full-time hours year-round sometimes, especially for onsite team members if tourist numbers drop. There's not much room for advancement without really pushing.
Advice to Management: Try to offer more consistent full-time hours for dedicated onsite staff, even during slower periods. Investing in more cross-training could also help with career growth for Guest Services Agent roles.

Okay Pay, Workload is Pretty Intense
Pros: The health insurance for employees at Grün Resorts is actually pretty decent. They cover a good chunk, which is a big plus in the hospitality industry. Also, the 401k match is a solid benefit.
Cons: However, the base pay for my onsite Resort Operations Manager position felt a bit low considering the hours. There aren't many opportunities for significant bonuses or rapid salary increases, especially in the Aspen, CO market. It's tough to get ahead financially here.
Advice to Management: Re-evaluate the salary bands for management roles, especially in high-cost-of-living areas like Aspen. Better compensation could help with retention for key resort roles.
