Decent learning, but career growth can stall

It's an okay spot to learn the ropes in the data analytics industry, especially for junior Data Analyst roles in the Jakarta office. Just don't expect super rapid promotions or a crystal-clear career path.

Pros

You get to touch a bunch of different data analytics projects here. It's solid for early career folks as a Data Analyst to build experience. The team is usually pretty helpful with daily tasks.

Cons

The clear career path isn't really there, so it's tough to see how you'd move up. For more advanced data science roles, dedicated training and mentorship are pretty limited. Feels like you hit a ceiling quickly.

Advice to Management

Management should create much clearer promotion criteria for all roles. Also, invest more in advanced technical training for staff who want to grow into senior data analytics or data science positions.

Okay Pay, But Benefits Could Be Better
Pros: As a Data Engineer here, the base salary is decent for a startup in Dallas, TX. They do offer a standard 401k match and basic health insurance, which is fine.
Cons: The pay isn't really competitive with larger tech companies, especially in the broader analytics industry. There aren't any stock options, and PTO is pretty limited compared to other places. It's tough if you're looking for strong long-term financial benefits.
Advice to Management: Consider benchmarking salaries against current market rates for Data Engineers in our industry. Expanding benefit options would also help attract and retain talent.

Leadership needs to step up their game
Pros: The data science team itself is really solid. I've learned a ton working on cool machine learning problems with smart people. It's a decent place for a Junior Data Scientist to get experience.
Cons: Leadership can be a real struggle here. There's not enough clear direction for remote workers, and decisions often feel rushed. Communication from the top down just isn't consistent.
Advice to Management: Focus on improving communication pathways for remote and hybrid teams. Give team leads more autonomy and clearer guidance on company goals. Invest in leadership training too.
