We’re Hiring an Instrumentation Technician!
Panca Amara Utama (PAU) is looking for an experienced Instrumentation Technician to support the reliability and safety of our control systems at the Banggai Ammonia Plant. You will be responsible for maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation systems, ensuring plant operations run efficiently and safely.
Work Location: Site Banggai Ammonia Plant, Kabupaten Banggai
Reporting Line: This position reports directly to the Instrumentation Foreman
Job Requirements
- Minimum Senior High School graduate in a related technical field
- At least 5 years of experience in instrumentation or mechanical roles as Instrumentation Technician
- Industry experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Manufacturing
- Certified/trained in:
- DCS, ESD, PLC, SCADA, ITCC, MMS systems
- Field instrumentation, analyzers, gas detectors
- Control valve calibration and troubleshooting
- HSE instrumentation and fire & gas systems
- Gas Engine Generator (GEG) maintenance
- Familiar with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, HART)
- Able to read P&ID and technical schematics
- Physically fit for fieldwork in hazardous environments
Job Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and calibrate field instruments and automation systems
- Troubleshoot and repair control valves, actuators, and analyzers
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks
- Maintain and update documentation, reports, and calibration records
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and report unsafe conditions
- Coordinate with other disciplines to complete work safely and efficiently
- Support system upgrades and technical modifications
- Standby for emergency support and shift-based work as required
