Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Supervise vessel schedules, stowage planning, and cargo handling.
- Documentation & Compliance: Handle Bills of Lading, manifests, customs clearance, and ensure compliance with IMO and ISM Code.
- Cost Control: Monitor bunker usage, port handling, and vendor contracts.
- Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs including on-time performance and load factor.
- Safety & Risk Management: Ensure safe handling of dangerous goods and adherence to maritime safety standards.
- Integration with 3PL: Coordinate vessel operations with trucking, warehousing, and distribution.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor operational staff, fostering collaboration and improvement.
Requirements
- Strong command of English language (spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, writing/typing) is a plus, but not mandatory.
- 710 years of experience in shipping line, freight forwarding, or 3PL operations.
- Solid knowledge of containerized vessel operations and international logistics.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with digital logistics systems (TOS, ERP, tracking platforms).
