Azure Cloud Engineer - Daily Rate Contract - Sydney / Hybrid
We’re seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer to play a key role across a number of major cloud engineering projects.
These projects have a security focus and any cloud security experience would be highly beneficial.
- Lead the design and deployment of Azure landing zones to support enterprise-scale adoption
- Build Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, embedding automation and best practice into every layer
- Deliver robust solutions through Azure DevOps pipelines (CI/CD) for repeatable, consistent deployments
- Implement and manage key Azure services across Networking, Security, Identity, Compute, and Storage
- Support and optimise environments in both project delivery and BAU operations, ensuring resilience and performance
- Work closely with architecture, security, and delivery teams to ensure solutions align to governance and compliance standards
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience as an Azure Cloud Engineer in enterprise environments
- Strong expertise in Terraform - confident building, scaling, and optimising IaC for complex Azure estates
- Deep understanding of Azure landing zones, subscriptions, and governance frameworks
- Hands-on knowledge of Azure DevOps (pipelines, CI/CD) and ARM templates
- Solid technical depth across Azure services: RBAC, Networking, Security, Storage, and Compute
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work seamlessly across project and operations teams
