We are seeking an experienced Sr Contract Engineer to manage the full lifecycle of project contracts across major EPC, petrochemical, and industrial projects. This role is responsible for ensuring contract compliance, mitigating contractual risks, managing claims and change orders, and supporting successful project execution from pre-award through warranty and financial close-out.

Reporting to the Contract Management Head and will play a critical role in contract reviews, negotiations, dispute resolution, and stakeholder engagement while safeguarding the Company's contractual and commercial interests throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (Master's Degree is an advantage).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Contract Management, Contract Engineering, or Project Legal roles within EPC, Oil & Gas, , Refining, Energy, Industrial Construction, or large-scale EPC projects.
  • Proven experience managing major EPC contracts, including FEED, EPC, construction, and vendor agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law, contract administration, commercial management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with international contract models, particularly FIDIC (Silver Book preferred).
  • Demonstrated involvement in at least 2–3 EPC projects with project values exceeding USD 30 million.
  • Strong negotiation, claim management, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation capabilities.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience working with international contractors and partners.
  • Professional certification or training in Contract Management, Commercial Management, or Negotiation is preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with strong report-writing and contractual correspondence skills.

Job Description

  • Lead contract reviews, negotiations, and contract drafting during the pre-award phase, ensuring alignment with company policies and contractual principles.
  • Provide contractual guidance to project teams throughout project execution, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, applicable laws, and company requirements.
  • Manage contractual correspondence, notices, claims, variation orders (VO), extension of time (EOT), and change management processes.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks while maintaining the Project Risk Register and supporting risk management workshops.
  • Support dispute avoidance and resolution efforts, working closely with contractors, consultants, licensors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Assist project close-out activities, including warranty management, financial settlement, liquidated damages, and final contract closure.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Project Controls, Engineering, Legal, and Project Management teams to protect commercial and contractual interests throughout the project lifecycle.
