About The Role
As a
New Store Opening (NSO) Merchandiser / Store Setup Specialist , you will play a critical role in bringing new stores to life by ensuring all merchandising, inventory, and display elements are executed flawlessly before Grand Opening. From receiving high-value electronics inventory to installing demo units and executing planograms, you will ensure each store is fully operational, visually appealing, and ready to deliver the best customer experience from Day One.
Working closely with Merchandising, Retail Operations, Store Development, and external vendors, you will manage on-site setup activities and ensure every new store meets company standards in terms of inventory accuracy, safety, and visual presentation.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the inbound process for electronics products, ensuring accurate receiving, serial number/IMEI validation, and secure inventory handling for high-value merchandise.
- Execute product displays and store layouts according to approved planograms, floorplans, and merchandising standards.
- Set up and test demo units, including TVs, smartphones, laptops, and appliances, ensuring proper power, connectivity, and functionality.
- Install and verify POP materials, price tags, specification cards, and anti-theft systems to ensure stores are customer-ready and compliant with brand standards.
- Coordinate and supervise store crews, technicians, and vendors during the store setup phase to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor daily project progress and ensure stores are fully operational and ready no later than H-1 before Grand Opening.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues related to display fixtures, product functionality, inventory discrepancies, and installation quality.
- Conduct final handover to Store Operations and Store Managers, including initial stock reconciliation and readiness documentation.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's degree (S1) in any discipline.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Visual Merchandising, Store Operations, Retail Expansion, or New Store Opening projects, preferably in electronics, gadgets, or IT retail.
- Ability to read and interpret planograms, floor plans, and technical layouts .
- Good understanding of retail inventory management, including serial number and IMEI control for high-value products.
- Basic knowledge of electrical setup, cable management, and retail anti-theft systems is highly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, especially in inventory accuracy and visual execution.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines and dynamic environments.
- High mobility and willingness to travel or stay out of town during store opening projects, with the physical stamina required for field execution.
