Overview
The storekeeper is responsible for the maintenance of a departments/organizations storeroom, performing activities such as stocking of operational materials and supplies,
inventory control and records, purchasing, and related duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities, and inspect items for damage or discrepancies.
Check delivery documentation against purchase orders and report inconsistencies.
Coordinate returns or replacements with suppliers when necessary.
Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or electronic inventory systems.
Conduct regular stock checks, cycle counts, and full physical inventory audits.
Update inventory levels promptly and notify management of low-stock items.
Store materials in designated areas, ensuring items are labeled, organized, and accessible.
Implement proper storage methods to protect items from damage.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly storeroom environment.
Prepare and distribute materials, tools, equipment, or supplies to authorized personnel.
Ensure items are issued according to company procedures and documentation is completed.
Track outgoing items and adjust inventory records accordingly.
- Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of receipts, transfers, shortages, and returns.
Compile inventory reports for management as required.
Assist in preparing documentation for audits, compliance checks, or operational reviews.
Follow safety procedures related to handling materials, storing chemicals, and operating
equipment.
Adhere to OSHA and company safety policies.
Report hazards or maintenance concerns to supervisors.
- Equipment Operation (if applicable)
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report issues.
Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and operations teams to ensure seamless material flow.
Assist with special projects, stock reorganizations, or process improvements.
Provide excellent customer service to internal departments and staff.
Proven experience as a storekeeper, stock clerk, or inventory assistant preferred.
Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and warehouse practices.
Ability to read and interpret delivery documents, purchase orders, and inventory logs.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
Ability to lift 3050 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Qualifications
- Diploma or S1 from various universities
- having 1-2 years experiences in warehouse and/or oil & gas preferable
- having other fields and/or certificate which related / supported to position
