Key Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure Health & Safety (OHS) compliance and performance across all operations and site.
Implement and continuously improve standardized Health & Safety systems, policies, and procedures
Provide expert guidance and support to site management, project teams, and contractors on OHS matters
Monitor, analyze, and report Health & Safety performance, including leading indicators and incident data
Lead and manage incident reporting, classification, and investigation processes, including serious incidents
Plan and execute Health & Safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments across the organization
Develop and implement internal and external audit programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards
Lead emergency response preparedness and ensure effective implementation across sites
Design and coordinate Health & Safety training and awareness programs to support operational teams
Conduct regular site visits to support audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives
Lead and manage the Health & Safety team to achieve organizational safety objectives
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties, including contractors and regulatory authorities, to drive a strong safety culture

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Processing, or a related discipline
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in Health & Safety roles within mining, construction, petroleum, or processing industries
Minimum 2 years of experience in a managerial level role, preferably in site-based operations
Strong knowledge of Health & Safety systems, including technical, operational, and administrative principles
Proven capability in conducting complex incident investigations
Experience in performing safety and risk-based inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders
