Backend Engineer Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of professional software experience with Node.js, alongside strong familiarity with NestJS
Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and/or NoSQL architectures (MongoDB)
Strong comprehension of microservices design patterns and/or monolithic system architectures
Familiarity with Docker environments and automated continuous deployment pipelines
Practical understanding of backend security best practices, including OWASP and strict input validation
Proficient with Git and standard collaborative GitHub workflows

Job Responsibilities

Design and develop highly scalable RESTful APls and GraphQL gateways using Node.js and Nestus
Architect efficient, secure, and easily scalable database schemas (both relational and NoSQL databases)
Implement robust authentication and authorization security protocols (JWT, OAuth, role-based access controls)
Seamlessly integrate complex third-party APls and external microservices
Performance-tune, profile, and optimize slow backend queries and server resources
Author reliable unit tests and maintain clean, comprehensive API technical documentation
Oversee deployment pipelines and everyday server maintenance tasks using Docker and CI/CD tools

Nice-to-Have Skills

Practical project experience using database ORMs like TypeORM or Prisma
Experience managing distributed systems using message queues such as RabbitMQ, Redis, or Bull
Familiarity integrating blockchain backend systems or deploying smart contract interfaces
