Sales Engineer
Job Summary:**
As a Sales Engineer at Pepperl+Fuchs SE, you will be a key technical and commercial point of contact for our customers, driving sales growth of our innovative industrial sensor and intrinsic safety solutions. You will leverage your technical expertise to understand customer needs, propose appropriate solutions, and build strong, lasting relationships.
Job Responsibilities:**
- Act as a primary technical sales contact for customers within a designated territory or market segment.
- Conduct in-depth technical discussions with customers to identify their automation and process safety requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on Pepperl+Fuchs product offerings, including sensors, intrinsic safety barriers, hazardous area solutions, and related software.
- Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Develop and present comprehensive proposals and quotations, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company pricing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and customer service, to ensure seamless customer support and solution delivery.
- Identify new business opportunities and strategically expand the customer base.
- Participate in trade shows, seminars, and industry events to promote Pepperl+Fuchs products and services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and customer records within the CRM system.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales effectively.
Job Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in technical sales or applications engineering within industrial automation, process control, or hazardous area industries.
- Strong understanding of industrial sensors (e.g., inductive, capacitive, photoelectric, ultrasonic), intrinsic safety principles, explosion protection, and fieldbus technologies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and establish strong customer relationships.
- Results-oriented with a strong drive to achieve sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills relevant to the market are a plus.
