Associate - Software Engineering

▪ Act as a recognised expert internally for software engineering within Beca and support / develop the professional conduct of the technical discipline ▪ Deliver operational excellence through effective management of complex technical solutions and large and complex projects / multiple jobs ▪ Work on projects from inception, through strategic planning and concept to detailed design planning and resourcing effectively to meet budgets and targets ▪ Lead and manage multi-disciplinary teams by outlining and assigning work, reviewing technical accuracy and technical outcomes ▪ Work with team and motivate to encourage innovative thinking, develop new ideas/approaches and promote “OneBeca ▪ Identify and implement profit maximisation and cost management strategies ▪ Apply a deep understanding of technical principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems gaining respect from clients as a highly skilled consultant ▪ Understand the client’s business and strategic issues in order to ensure successful outcomes and maximise repeat business revenue ▪ Win significant new business from existing clients including cross selling other Beca services ▪ Understand risk on all jobs through implementation of sound audit, business and financial management and understand impact of work practices on the financial outcome of projects ▪ Network in the industry and actively participate with industry and professional bodies ▪ Communicate positively and effectively ensuring that team members , Managers and clients are consistently well informed about progress and timelines ▪ Demonstrate effective communication, presentation, networking and consulting skills ▪ Mentor and coach junior peers across the discipline and delegate appropriately ▪ Encourage excellent team performance through specific and constructive feedback ▪ Tertiary qualification / post graduate studies ▪ Extensive practical application of principles and practices within discipline ▪ Proven experience in a consulting environment ▪ Professional body certification / registration ▪ Understand and adhere to the Beca values ▪ Act in accordance with industry / professional ethics maintaining professionalism at all times ▪ Contribution and effort is aligned to organisational objectives ▪ Comply with all company HSE systems and procedures relevant to the role, in accordance with local documented HSE responsibilities and accountabilities. No work related injuries, illnesses or adverse environmental outcomes due to incorrect or inadequate application of systems or procedures ▪ Participate in performance development discussions with manager initiating and managing own personal development with all CPD requirements met ▪ Work co-operatively and collaboratively willingly accepting share of workload and helping others when require ▪ Other duties as directed
