We are looking for a strategic and hands-on leader to own our end-to-end teacher hiring and development efforts. This role is critical in ensuring we attract, hire, and grow high-quality educators who drive strong student outcomes and long-term retention.
You will work closely with Academic and Operations teams to align hiring with classroom needs, while building scalable systems for recruitment, assessment, and teacher development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full-cycle teacher recruitment process, from sourcing to onboarding
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified teacher candidates
- Design and continuously improve hiring frameworks, including assessments, interviews, and demo teaching standards
- Ensure hiring quality meets academic standards and retention targets
- Oversee recruiters and hiring-related roles to ensure efficient execution
- Develop and implement teacher training and development programs (both pre-service and in-service)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Academic and Operations teams to align hiring with classroom needs
- Track and analyze hiring performance, teacher quality, and development outcomes using data
- Drive continuous improvement in teacher capability to support retention and student success
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or a related field
- +5 years of experience in recruitment, talent management, or people operations. Background spanning both Education/Academic and HR is highly preferred
- Strong experience in teacher recruitment, hiring, and/or training & development
- Experience in startup or edutech environments is a strong advantage
- Solid understanding of hiring frameworks, assessment methods, and talent quality standards
- Data-driven mindset with experience tracking hiring and performance metrics
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally
