“The Future of Finance, Powered by AI” We're embarking on an exciting journey at Trustplus AI Pte. Ltd. (“TrustPlus AI”), a dynamic tech startup poised to revolutionize credit assessment process for financial institutions through AI. We're currently seeking a visionary individual to join our engineering team, playing a pivotal role in shaping our technology landscape and driving the development of our product lines.
Position: QA & Observability Engineer
Location: Remote
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Engineering
About Us:
TrustPlus AI does what human credit committees take weeks to accomplish — delivering results in seconds with even greater accuracy. Founded by Kevin Lee and WayVern Shong, former credit executives at leading global financial institutions, TrustPlus AI started on the belief that modern AI can now outperform traditional human analysis in credit evaluation – and we're proving it. Our agentic platform instantly crunches more data than any human ever could, distilling thousands of data points into a single, precise credit decision – a technical moat that deepens with every credit assessment processing. In multi-trillion-dollar lending and payment markets hungry for innovation, TrustPlus AI is uniquely positioned to redefine how creditors assess risk, backed by a defensible AI advantage and deep domain expertise.
Expansion Plans:
But that's not where our journey ends. We have a bold vision to expand our product offerings beyond credit and risk management. Our roadmap includes venturing into compliance, legal, operations, and other critical areas within the financial ecosystem.
Role Overview
As a QA & Observability Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and usability of our products. You’ll design and execute test plans, build automated test frameworks, and work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to maintain high-quality code releases. Beyond traditional QA, you’ll also build internal dashboards and analytics tools that surface quality metrics, AI model performance trends, and system health insights — empowering the team to make data-driven decisions. As we are a small team, we are looking for someone who is detail-oriented and passionate about problem solving, with the ability to work independently and proactively.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and testing frameworks for all products.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to define quality goals and acceptance criteria for new features.
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing — both manual and automated.
- Implement and maintain test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman).
- Analyze, identify, and track bugs through issue management systems.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality is embedded from the start.
- Contribute to continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.
- Design and build internal dashboards and analytics tools to track quality metrics, AI model performance, test coverage trends, and system health — enabling data-driven decisions across the engineering and product teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in QA roles, preferably in fintech, SaaS, or high-growth startup environments.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, PlayWright, or similar).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, SQL, and at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, or Java).
- Demonstrated ability to build dashboards or internal tools (e.g. using Python/Streamlit, React, Grafana, Metabase, or similar) to visualize data and communicate insights.
- Clear understanding of Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Bonus Skills
- Knowledge in finance and accounting
- Experience in testing payment processing systems, financial data handling, or compliance-related software.
- Knowledge of security and penetration testing tools.
- Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Experience evaluating AI/ML model outputs, including LLM response quality, accuracy benchmarking, or building eval pipelines.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation and equity options.
- Flexible working hours and hybrid/remote flexibility.
- A collaborative culture focused on innovation, learning, and growth.
- Opportunity to shape TrustPlus AI’s future at an exciting early stage.
