We are seeking a Software Development Manager (Engineering Manager) up to head level to lead and grow our software development team. This role requires a strong technical foundation, hands-on leadership, and the ability to drive software development that meets excellent quality standards. The ideal candidate is well experienced in people management, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and manage the software development team to ensure efficient, productive, and high-quality output by providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship that gives software developers clear direction on their career development and empowers them to grow professionally.
  • Oversee people and capacity management, including workforce planning, team structure optimization, and ensuring the team has the right skills and capacity to meet product and project goals.

Technical Oversight & Execution

  • Oversee the end-to-end software development process, ensuring alignment with requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Maintain standardized deliverable quality based on best practices and meet international standards through regular reviews and updates.
  • Provide hands-on technical guidance and make key technical decisions to support the team in solving complex challenges.
  • Oversee change management and issue resolution to keep delivery on track.
  • Translate business strategies into executable IT delivery roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams in Indonesia and with the headquarter to ensure consistent alignment with business and product objectives.
  • Drive clear communication and cross-team collaboration to ensure seamless alignment of requirements, feedback, and ongoing software iterations.
  • Engage and communicate with senior stakeholders to ensure solution outcomes align with organizational priorities.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment between business, IT, and external partners for cohesive execution.

Business Strategy

  • Observe and manage existing processes to drive improvements, increase efficiency, and ensure alignment with the company strategic plan.
  • Oversee IT delivery budgets, resource allocation, and spending to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Manage cost forecasting, vendor billing, and investment planning to align with IT and business strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience & Technical Skills

  • 5+ years of recent professional experience in software development, including 2 years in a team leadership role.
  • Previous experience in a project-focused company is an advantage.
  • Strong technical background with deep knowledge of software architecture design, software development best practices and processes, and lifecycle management.
  • Proficient in at least two commonly used programming languages/frameworks. Preferred: Experience with modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Flutter) and Java.
  • Familiar with infrastructure and DevOps practices, with the ability to guide system setup, deployment strategies, and operational standards across teams.
  • Proven experience leading digital transformation initiatives, delivering enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, data platforms), or managing large-scale application integration projects.
  • Familiarity and hands-on experience with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) for managing incidents, problems, changes, and service levels.
  • Solid knowledge of API integration, system interoperability, and scalable solution design. Having an understanding of enterprise architecture principles (e.g., TOGAF) is preferred.

  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical skills, and logical decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to provide clarity, direction, and support in high-complexity technical environments.
  • Curiosity and continuous interest in the latest technology trends, tools, and development methodologies.

Communication & Working Style

  • Proficient in both written and spoken English (mandatory).
  • Willing to work from the office in BSD, Tangerang Selatan.
  • Willing and able to travel to Germany when it’s required.
