Job Description
We are seeking a talented Creative Lead to oversee our creative department, shaping the overall strategy and brand identity across internal projects and client work. This role requires strong artistic vision, proven leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with other departments to ensure alignment between creativity, business objectives, and technical feasibility. A forward-thinking approach to AI adoption is essential, as we actively integrate AI tools into our creative workflows to improve quality, speed, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall creative strategy and brand identity for internal and client projects.
- Lead brainstorming sessions, concept development, and creative direction from initial idea to final execution, leveraging AI-assisted ideation tools where relevant.
- Review, refine, and approve all creative outputs to ensure brand alignment, visual excellence, and consistency across platforms.
- Champion AI adoption within the creative department by identifying, testing, and integrating relevant tools (generative design, image generation, motion, etc.) into day-to-day workflows, and establish clear guidelines for their responsible and consistent use.
- Collaborate closely with the COO, Project Managers, and Development Team to align creative direction with business objectives and technical feasibility.
- Lead and manage the Designers and UI/UX Team.
- Provide clear guidance, mentorship, and constructive feedback to help team members grow professionally and deliver their best work.
- Set creative standards, workflows, and timelines to ensure efficient project execution and on-time delivery.
- Foster a collaborative and motivating environment that encourages creativity, accountability, and innovation.
- Conduct regular 1-on-1 check-ins, daily team meetings, and performance reviews, ensuring clarity of roles, workloads, and expectations.
- Identify team skill gaps and support training, upskilling, and recruitment to strengthen the creative department, with a specific focus on AI literacy and tool adoption.
- Act as a bridge between creative, development, operations, and management to ensure smooth communication and alignment across departments.
- Attend all meetings with CEO, COO, Designers, and Developers to present creative concepts and communicate design rationale confidently and professionally.
- Manage multiple creative projects simultaneously, balancing creative excellence with efficiency and deadlines.
- Stay updated on design trends, creative technologies, AI innovations, and digital advancements to continuously improve output quality and maintain a competitive edge.
- Ensure all creative assets are optimized for relevant platforms and meet brand and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a senior creative or leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced agency or multi-project environment.
- Proven experience leading and managing design teams with diverse skill sets.
- Strong understanding of team motivation, workflow optimization, and creative project management.
- Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, Runway, ChatGPT, or similar) and a demonstrated ability to integrate them into production workflows.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects), Figma, and Jira.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an agency or fast-paced creative environment.
- Strong creative portfolio demonstrating leadership, strategic thinking, and examples of AI-assisted or AI-augmented work.
- Familiarity with agile workflows (Scrum, Jira).
- Experience defining or documenting AI usage policies or creative guidelines within a team.
