JOB SUMMARY:As Senior Staff Engineer Test Technology and Solutions,you are responsible mainly for Test Contactor and Loadboard Development at Final Test, develops new test solutions based on requirements from divisions, and collaborate with portfolio and project management for new package or product introduction, test ratio and cost savings initiatives.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and owntest technology and contact technology strategiesfor semiconductor Final Test (FT) operations, ensuring robust, scalable, and cost‑efficient test solutions.
- Manage, plan, and delivertest-related work packagesfor new product introductions (NPI) and technology development projects, ensuring products meet electrical, quality, and manufacturing specifications.
- Define, develop, and maintainProduction Test Concepts, including test coverage, guard bands, and test methodologies for automotive and industrial semiconductor products.
- Develop, qualify, and documenttest programs, test hardware, and contact technologies(probe cards, test sockets, contactors), aligned with product and tester requirements.
- Lead thehandover of new test packages and technologies to production, ensuring a smooth ramp-up and stable high‑volume manufacturing.
- Drivecost reduction and yield improvement initiativesby optimizing test concepts, test programs, test time, contact design, and hardware utilization.
- Act as thetechnical authority for contact technology, including socket and probe card selection, qualification, lifetime management, and failure analysis.
- Provide technical requirements and roadmap inputs forATE capability development, aligned with future product and technology needs.
- Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams (Product Engineering, Assembly Engineering, Quality, Equipment, and Global Test organizations) to resolve complex test and contact‑related issues.
- Interface withexternal suppliers and vendors(ATE, socket, and probe card suppliers) to drive innovation, performance improvement, and cost optimization.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers and guide technical decision‑making within the test engineering organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree inMaterial Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum5years of experiencein aSemiconductor Final Test manufacturing environment
- Strong, hands-on experience inSemiconductor Test Technology, including test concepts, test development, and production test support.
- Proven expertise inContact Technology(Eg. Wafer test, wafer sort, test socket and probe card/probe test)
- Experience working withATE platformsand test hardware in high‑volume manufacturing.
- Proficient inmechanical design and simulation tools, such as3D CAD, SolidWorks, AutoDesk, Creo, Pro/E, or equivalent.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to analyze complex test and contact issues using systematic methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑mix manufacturing environment while driving continuous improvement.
- Willingness to work onsite inBatam, Riau Islands, Indonesia.
