Our modern and state-of-the-art facilities allow us to produce unrivalled quality of vermicelli products. In 1964, Vermi Industries Sdn Bhd started as a regional vermicelli manufacturer in Kulai. Slowly, two of our house brands, Botan and Parrot vermicelli have been filling up the shelves in grocery stores, supermarkets, and hypermarkets in Malaysia. 2021, we start to expand our product to all worldwide including Hong Kong, Brunei, Singapore, Australia, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Mauritius. In view of our rapid expansion, we are looking for dynamic person to join our organization.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Boilerman Grade 1 located in Kulai. The Boilerman will be responsible for the safe operation, monitoring, and maintenance of the boiler system to ensure continuous and stable steam supply for production.
The role includes performing daily boiler start-up and shutdown procedures, monitoring boiler performance parameters, ensuring proper water treatment control, and maintaining safe operating conditions in compliance with DOSH/JKKP regulations.
The Boilerman will also be responsible for routine inspection, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities, as well as recording operational logs and reporting any abnormalities or equipment issues promptly. This role requires strict adherence to safety procedures and close coordination with the engineering and maintenance teams.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Possess valid Boilerman Grade 1 certificate (DOSH/JKKP) – mandatory
- Minimum SPM or equivalent technical qualification
- Minimum 2–3 years working experience in industrial boiler operation (water tube or fire tube system preferred)
- Good understanding of boiler operation, steam system, and water treatment process
- Familiar with DOSH/JKKP safety regulations and industrial boiler safety standards
- Able to perform shift work and respond to emergency breakdown situations
- Responsible, disciplined, and safety-conscious
- Able to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance checks
- Good teamwork and communication skills
