HISTORY
Monsanto has been in Malaysia for over 40 years starting off as a trading company. Over the past 40 years, Monsanto has been providing farmers with products that have contributed substantially to agricultural productivity and crop management practices. Monsanto has established itself as a comprehensive agricultural inputs provider in Malaysia and remains focused on Glyphosate-based Herbicides. The herbicides business of Monsanto is a mature industry and the strategy is to build on the existing diversified Glyphosate-based herbicide business as a strong platform for growth. Roundup, Spark, and Sentry herbicides help the farmers in getting better returns per acre. The Roundup herbicide, a well-established usage, and practice are being followed widely. At Monsanto, people are the single most important element of success and the basis of confidence for future and a great deal of attention is given for motivation, training, and development of every member of the staff. Monsanto recognizes the importance of quality, safety, health and environmental sustainability not only at workplace, but also at home.
