The National Stroke Association of Malaysia (NASAM) is a not-for-profit NGO devoted to supporting the rehabilitation of stroke survivors and to promoting awareness of Stroke and Stroke Prevention. NASAM is a strong advocate of ‘There is life after stroke’. Post stroke rehabilitation to every survivor is critical in ensuring that they can return to as normal a life as possible within the limitations of their disabilities. It is our long-term mission to make stroke rehabilitation accessible to as many stroke survivors as possible.
Why join us? NASAM's vision is to serve stroke survivors throughout Malaysia, so that they may have ready access to rehabilitation facilities and services wherever they may be in the country. It is NASAM's intention to bridge the existing gap that fails to fully prepare stroke survivors adequately for rehabilitation after they have been treated in hospitals for their medical conditions and their return to their homes. Our long-term goal is to set up a NASAM centre in every major town in Malaysia.
