The company was formed on April 12, 1999, by its founder Mr. Bernard Ling Ting Hang. The formation of the company signified the success of the Plantations Consultancy business developed by its founder, and with it the first steps towards the formation of the AGROPALM Group of Companies. The history of Agro Palm Sdn. Bhd. [APSB] actually commences with the formation of Agro Palm Management Services Sdn. Bhd. [APMS] In short, APSB was formed solely for the purposes of the procurement of asset based ventures into the Palm Oil industry.

It is the vehicle for the realization of the vision of its founder, to own land or palm oil mills which the company can develop as its own. Maintaining high standards of management and further developing Best Practice' standards for its continuous development in plantations and palm oil milling. APSB is the holding company of Sungai Terah Palm Oil Mill Sdn. Bhd., fondly known as STPOM .[pronounced as storm] The very first fully owned asset of APSB, with its palm oil mill located in Gua Musang, Kelantan Darul Naim. The story of APSB does not and will not end here, as the company is poised to further procure plantation based assets to strengthen its position towards being a key player in the industry.
