We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setup Machinist to support our growing manufacturing operations in Penang.
Responsibilities
- Program, setup, and operate CNC milling and/or turning machines
- Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and machining specifications
- Create and optimize CNC programs for precision machined components
- Perform machine setups including tooling, workholding, offsets, and prove-outs
- Troubleshoot machining and setup issues to improve efficiency and quality
- Work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams
- Maintain tooling, fixtures, and setup documentation
- Inspect parts during setup and production to ensure dimensional accuracy
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and cycle time reduction
- Maintain safe and organized work areas
Requirements
- Experience with CNC programming and machine setup
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T
- Familiarity with precision machining practices and tolerances
- Experience with milling and/or turning centers
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in semiconductor, aerospace, or high-precision manufacturing is an advantage
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of CNC setup and programming experience
- Experience with CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar
- Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining centers is a plus
- Familiarity with machining materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, and Inconel
- Experience with first article and in-process inspections
