About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Control Engineer to join our Automation & Systems department. In this role, you will be the "brain" behind our custom automation solutions, responsible for developing the logic and electrical systems that bring our precision jigs and machines to life. You will work closely with mechanical designers to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Control System Design: Assist in designing electrical schematics, I/O lists, and control panel layouts using CAD software.
  • PLC & HMI Programming: Develop and debug basic to mid-level PLC logic (e.g., Omron, Mitsubishi, Siemens) and design user-friendly HMI interfaces for machine operation.
  • System Integration: Integrate and calibrate sensors, vision systems (Keyence/Cognex), servo motors, and pneumatic components into the control architecture.
  • Testing & Debugging: Perform "Dry Runs" and logic testing to ensure the machine sequence follows the required cycle time and safety protocols.
  • Field Commissioning: Travel to client sites for machine installation, fine-tuning control parameters, and providing technical hand-over training.
  • Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive wiring diagrams, software backups, and operation manuals for every project.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all control logic adheres to industrial safety standards (e.g., E-stop circuits and light curtain integration).

What We're Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Control Engineering.
  • Technical Knowledge: A foundational understanding of PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) and electrical circuit theory.
  • Software Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and PLC software suites (e.g., CX-Programmer, GX Works, or TIA Portal).
  • Hands-on Interest: While this is an engineering role, a "hands-on" attitude toward troubleshooting electrical panels and wiring is essential.
  • Experience: Fresh graduates with a strong final-year project in automation or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in the automation line are preferred.
  • Mobility: Must be willing to perform outstation work and site support for machine commissioning when required.

What We Offer

  • Exposure to high-precision automation projects across various industries (Semiconductor, Electronics, Automotive).
  • Mentorship from senior engineers to accelerate your programming and system design skills.
  • A fast-paced, collaborative environment where your logic designs move directly from screen to factory floor.
  • Opportunities for career advancement into Senior System Design or Project Management roles.

Perks & Benefits

  • Allowance (travel stipends, transportation, etc.)
  • Personal leave
  • Personal development opportunities
  • Paid training and development
