Responsibilities

IT Support & Incident Management

  • Provide Level 1 & Level 2 support for Windows, macOS, and Linux users.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, VPN, email, and application issues.
  • Manage incidents end-to-end, including root cause analysis (RCA) and documentation.
  • Handle P1/P2 incidents, escalations, and post-incident reviews.
  • Ensure SLA compliance using ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, Service Desk systems).

Network & Security Administration

  • Configure and troubleshoot networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching).
  • Manage firewalls including pfSense and other enterprise firewall solutions.
  • Implement network security policies, NAT rules, VPN access, and network segmentation.

Endpoint & MDM Management

  • Manage endpoints using Microsoft Intune and other MDM solutions.
  • Enforce security policies, compliance standards, encryption, and application deployment.
  • Support Windows and macOS device lifecycle management including onboarding and offboarding.

Monitoring & Operations

  • Use monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or similar platforms.
  • Configure alerts, dashboards, thresholds, and system health monitoring.
  • Reduce alert noise and improve system observability and operational efficiency.

System Administration

  • Manage Windows Server (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO, IIS) and Linux systems (Ubuntu/RHEL).
  • Perform system patching, updates, security hardening, and performance tuning.
  • Support identity management, file systems, and print services in enterprise environments.

Automation & Scripting

  • Develop automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Support Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible and Terraform.
  • Improve operational efficiency through scripting, runbooks, and API automation.

IT Asset & Vendor Management

  • Manage IT asset lifecycle including procurement, inventory, licensing, and disposal.
  • Coordinate with vendors for support, maintenance, and contract renewals.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation.
  • Provide operational reports and system health/status updates to management.

Email & SMTP Security (SPF, DKIM, DMARC)

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SMTP email systems and deliverability issues.
  • Implement and maintain email authentication protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to ensure secure email communication.
  • Troubleshoot email flow issues such as spam filtering, bounce backs, blacklisting, and delivery failures.
  • Manage DNS records related to email security and domain domain protection.
  • Support email platforms such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and SMTP relay services.

Cloud Infrastructure

  • Manage cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and Hetzner.
  • Handle provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and cost optimization.
  • Support hybrid infrastructure and SaaS integrations.

Backup & Security

  • Manage backup and restore operations and perform disaster recovery testing.
  • Maintain endpoint security, antivirus protection, and email security systems.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or IT Support Engineer.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, macOS, Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, MDM).
  • Good knowledge of Linux administration (CLI, system services, logs, permissions, networking).
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, switching, firewalls).
  • Experience with database basics and troubleshooting (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, OCI or Hetzner.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).
  • Knowledge of automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible (or equivalent).
  • Hands-on scripting experience using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Ensure SLA compliance using ITSM tools (e.g., Jira, Service Desk tools).

Certifications (Preferred / Added Advantage):

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent
  • Cisco Certified: CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or equivalent
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
