About The Role
We are seeking a hands-on Network Security Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience to join our team. This pivotal role involves implementing, managing, and supporting network security controls across both on-premises and cloud environments. The successful candidate will focus on daily security operations, policy enforcement, tuning, documentation, and the ongoing enhancement of our network security capabilities. Working closely with Security, Cloud, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams, the Network Security Engineer will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in next-generation firewalls, microsegmentation, AWS network security, and automation tools, demonstrating a proactive approach to security management and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 5–10 years of experience in network security engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience with enterprise next-generation firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, or Cisco Firepower
- Proficiency in firewall policy implementation, VPNs, NAT, and TLS/SSL inspection
- Experience with microsegmentation technologies like Guardicore Centra or similar solutions
- Familiarity with AWS networking security components including Security Groups, NACLs, and VPC configurations
- Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, or Bash
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Configure and maintain network security controls across on-premises and cloud environments to ensure robust security posture
- Manage NGFW policies, including VPN configurations, NAT, TLS/SSL inspection, and related security features
- Implement and oversee microsegmentation controls using Guardicore Centra to segment network traffic effectively
- Support AWS network security configurations, including Security Groups, NACLs, and VPC setups
- Monitor network security controls, analyze performance, and tune systems to enhance effectiveness and minimize false positives
- Document all configurations, changes, runbooks, and network diagrams for compliance and operational efficiency
- Collaborate with DevOps and Security teams to automate routine security tasks using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or scripting languages
- Participate in operational and project-based security initiatives to strengthen overall network security posture
