Key Duties
- Lead, coordinate and implement CAPEX investments, equipment installations & process improvement projects for CPS Japan Moriyama Plant. Scope includes hands-on site acceptance tests, commissioning, installation qualififcation, operational qualification and performance reviews.
- Review and improve the manufacturing processes to ensure effective and efficient practices are executed. Recommend, innovate and implement revised methods and processes in the plant.
- Trouble-shoot and resolve technical problems for all manufacturing work centers and plant facilities.
- Provide Engineering support to all other functions in the plant.
Qualifications / Competencies
- Proficieny in English / Japanese
- Project management skills including planning and organizing
- Influencing skills
- Ability to identify problems, root cause and preventative measures
- Strong knowledge of PIDs, pipefitting, electrical, controls, pumps, mixers, compressors, welding, general building repair
- Willingness to take ownership in maintaining facilities and pride in results of work
- Team oriented, enthusiastic and have a positive attitude
- Be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize workload
Related Experience Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years relevant experience is essential (project execution, equipment installation commissioning and validation), preferably in a food manufacturing industry
- Demonstrate experience of delivering enhancements to systems is required
- Ease of written and oral expression in English
- Willing to take challenges, show confidence in ambiguous situations
